It's Your Lake

There’s something about this vast expanse of blue that soothes the soul and sparks the imagination. What will it be today? A morning run around the lake? Will you wet your fishing line for the sole purpose of freeing your mind? Or, will the wind fill your sails and take you away?

Remember this: Life at the lake may be as simple as a deep breath of crisp-off-the-water fresh air to start your day. Or, maybe it’s the soul-expanding vista that welcomes you home. Depending on the day, life at the lake can be many things. But for you, it’s always home.

Southshore is a master planned community that includes approximately 1,960 homes.  Southshore is home to Altitude Elementary School, two community centers, miles of trails and 120 acres of public open space.  Collectively this provides for a balanced community where people play, live, and work on the south shore of Aurora Reservoir.

In order for Southshore to function as an integrated community both now and in the future, The Southshore Master Association and Southshore Metro Districts No.1 and No.2 ensure the development and continuing operation of our community.

Elections
SELF NOMINATION DUE BY 10/31

It's that time of the year to begin the annual elections process.

This year we will make the process a lot simpler with electronic voting!

The first step is to obtain self-nominations for two types of positions listed and described below:

Area Representatives – The community is separated into 6 voting areas that are designated on this map. The elected representative holds the number of votes specified on the map (equals the homes in that area).  The representatives have two main responsibilities: ratify the budget created and presented by the Board as well as elect the Board of Directors.

Board of Directors – The Board is responsible for the daily operational decisions and activities that relate to all aspects of the HOA including but not limited to: communications, scope of bids, contracts, meetings, staffing, financials, insurance, maintenance, budget, covenant enforcement matters, legal matters and design review.
